Why do we fundraise?
At most other schools when a girl tries out for cheerleading, she is immediately asked to pay $1000-$2000 for uniforms, camps, and camp outfits. Added team costs usually include choreography, music editing, and gymnastics lessons. Then, if the school doesn't provide a budget for the team they may have to cover travel costs and hotel fees.
At Manitou we fundraise to defray most of these costs. Below are descriptions of our major yearly fundraisers.
Sponsorship Program
Through the spring and summer, the cheerleaders and coaches seek donations from local businesses. In return, the businesses are given advertising on a cheer poster, at football games, and on our website.

Spirit Items
At games the cheerleaders and parents sell Manitou gear including rally towels, t-shirts, seat cushions, and other goodies. If you would like to sponsor some spirit items, please contact us.
*NEW* Garage Sale
One man's trash is another man's treasure! This fall the cheer team will clean out their garages and closets to see if their old treasures can bring some cash to the cheer program! Watch for future updates for date and location.
Back 2 School Dance
Each fall the cheerleaders host the first dance of the year to welcome back the students. This is often combined with a drive to collect school supplies for area students in need.
*NEW* Manitou's Got Talent
This fall the cheerleaders will host a talent show for Manitou students and the community. Watch for future updates on this spectacular show of Manitou students' many talents!
S'Cool Services Fundraiser
This is an individual fundraiser in the spring the girls use to raise money for camp. They sell cookie dough and other goodies.
Avon Sales
This is also an individual fundraiser that goes year round. The girls use this money to pay for gymnastics and other cheer necessities.
